It is a wise decision to get your AC, washing machine, and refrigerator serviced regularly. Typically, whether you go through a brand’s authorized service center or a private technician, the following Terms and Conditions usually apply:
1. Visiting and Inspection Charges
 * A fixed fee is charged just for the technician to visit and diagnose the issue.
 * Note: If you proceed with the repair, many providers waive the visiting fee or include it in the final labor cost. If you choose not to repair after inspection, the visiting fee must still be paid.
2. Spare Parts and Warranty
 * Spare Parts: The cost of any replaced parts (like a compressor capacitor, water pump, or fridge thermostat, etc) is extra and not included in the service fee.
 * Service Warranty: Most reputable providers offer a 15 to 30-day warranty on the labor/work performed.
 * Parts Warranty: New spare parts usually carry a manufacturer warranty ranging from 3 to 6 months, depending on the component.
3. Payment Terms
 * Payment is generally due immediately upon completion of the service.
 * Most technicians accept Cash, UPI (Google Pay/PhonePe).
 * For expensive parts, the service provider may ask for an advance payment before ordering the item.
4. Working Conditions & Access
 * The technician must have clear access to the appliance.
 * For AC Servicing, they may require access to water and a drain point for "jet cleaning."
 * You are responsible for ensuring a representative is present during the entire service process to verify the work.
5. Specific Appliance Notes
 * Air Conditioners: Gas charging usually involves a separate leak-testing charge.
 * Washing Machines: Deep cleaning (descaling) is often treated as a separate service from general repair.
 * Refrigerators: If the fridge needs to be hauled to a workshop for major repairs (like body leakages), transportation charges may apply.
